We love this place for larger parties. We tried first to eat in Manteca at Las Casuelas and they had an hour and a half wait. We called here and they said 20 minutes for a party of 8. Renaldo was a great server, attentive, and gave us separate checks. The food was good for all of us. We will be back!

I used to live in Tracy and this restaurant was my favorite restaurant at all times. I was always going to this Mexican restaurant while I was living in Tracy for over 10 years. I was not a yelper back then. Two years later, I was visiting friends in Tracy for business and I went there for lunch. Omg!!!!!! Nothing has changed last time I was there. Great hosting, serving and food. If you are seafood lovers like me, I highly suggest you to order 7 seafood soup. This restaurant uses best of the best ingredients. You will see king crabs, prawns, scallops, octopus, fish, squids, mussels and big shell clams. I couldn't finish my soup. The broth was un describable and exquisite. This restaurant is huge inside and very authentic, also upscale atmosphere. I always have great service every time I go there. I assume the chef is still the same as 5-10 years. Their quality of food is the best in Tracy town.

I forgot to do a review my first time going, so I figured that second time's a charm, yeah? * Food: 5/5 I found the food to be really well seasoned -- especially the seafood dishes! I got the filete al ajo, and my partner got the fajitas. All in all, not only did it taste good -- it gave us really wonderful vibes. * Service: 4/5 Minus one star because honestly some of the dishes we got took a long time -- and the tortilla came a little cold. * Atmosphere: 5/5 LOVED the atmosphere. I really like how cultural they made it honestly I'd definitely come again as the servers were nice, and they weren't overly priced for two people to dine there.

The restaurant was decorated nicely for Dia de Los Muertos upon walking in. No one was at the hostess stand so we waited a while until we were helped. There was also no bell to ring. In the meantime I noticed their poster for mariachi on Friday nights. We were there on a Sunday, so we missed it. We were seated to the right of the restaurant where it seems they have/had a bar and that part of the restaurant was vacant so we were the only ones there for a while. The decor is not the most welcoming, feels a bit outdated and old but has a lot of potential. Crunchy tacos: I got one shredded beef and one shredded chicken. They were pretty good. Good refried beans and rice. Flautas: My husband's plate took a while to come out because they mistakenly got his order wrong so everyone had their food except my husband. These were the skinniest flautas I have ever seen!!! Maybe just a little bigger than a boba straw, that's how skinny they were. My husband seemed to enjoy them though. His dish came with rice and beans but he asked for all-beans instead. Casuelita: We saw this on the A-frame out front while we were waiting to be seated. It came out in a cute bowl and 2 straws. I took a sip to try it and it was good. We were a little surprised when we got the bill that it was $20 though. Music: They played all Mexican classics like rancheras and others. My mother-in-law knew every single song that would come on. I could only recognize a few. Overall I would come again just to check out the mariachi and have a drink.

We came to El Tapatio Tuesday night the 29th for a late dinner following my sons football pictures in Mountain House. They're one of the only restaurants that stays open until 9 pm, almost all the restaurants in Tracy close at 8 pm on weeknights. The food & service both were excellent. I had the Flautas dinner plate, my wife a combo 2 item plate, & my son a burrito. The burrito was huge. It was bigger than most places super burrito's. Their menu is huge, it has countless options on it. We will keep giving El Tapatio our business, especially because they make themselves available when a ton of other places in Tracy don't.

Been coming to Jorge's for years. It was one of the first places I tried when I moved to Tracy a few years back and soon became my FAVORITE place to get Pozole! Anytime I'm in the area I always make it a necessity to stop by and pick me up some pozole. That's not all that's good. Their burritos are great. The tacos are flavorful. I recently on Mothers Day had the Camarones A La Diabla. Man they were good! The right amount of spice and flavor! It wasn't bitter like some places. Their rice and beans are authentic Mexican food. I warn you! I did order a Michelada but not to drink.. I just wanted the shrimps and cucumber and Tajin they put around the rim and I made my mom drink mine and hers. BUT.. to my surprise allll the powder on the shrimp of the Michelada was NOT Tajin it was some spicy ass cayenne or chili powder that they put on the fruta you get from the elote man. So I nearly died when I put that one shrimp in my mouth. I couldn't cook myself down for almost 15 mins! I like spicy foods and sauces but that powder fu*ked me up bad. I couldn't even enjoy my food the way I wanted so I took most of it home and just filled up on tortilla chips. The waitress are nice and check on you frequently which is appreciated. The place itself is really big. Lots of tables and booths. I'd be back and I recommend to anyone in the area looking for great authentic Mexican food.
